Ford Works To Make Package Delivery More Convenient For Some Drivers

Wouldn’t life be easier if you didn’t have to worry about when you needed to be home to receive a delivery? When you don’t have the option to get your package picked up by someone in the building and it doesn’t fit in your mailbox, it can be left out on your porch, leaving it vulnerable to weather. Packages can even go missing when left out!

Ford wants to make it so that you never have to worry about where your package is delivered again. If you have a Ford 2017 or later model equipped with FordPass Connect or a Lincoln 2018 or later model with Lincoln Connect, you can have your package delivered and placed directly inside of your vehicle.

This convenient service is being rolled out as a part of the partnership between Ford and Amazon. Key by Amazon as it’s known will be available for select Ford and Lincoln vehicles. This is just the latest in the collection of services provided by Ford in order to make drivers’ lives more convenient.

By using the FordPass and Lincoln Way apps, you’ll be able to track the progress of your delivery, when it’s delivered, and when the delivery driver verifies that the vehicle has been relocked. If something changes for you and you don’t wish to receive the delivery on that particular day, you can block access to your vehicle and the delivery will be redirected to the building where your vehicle is parked.

As this service is rolled out Ford is also working to incorporate other services that can be delivered right to your vehicle like on-the-spot car washes. Stay tuned for more updates about how Ford is constantly taking steps to make your life simpler.
